I wouldn’t pay full price for one but they pop up around $1500 all the time. I got mine for $1200.
Got one coming.
I like them. Scored a barely used one from an LGS for about 1300 a year ago.

But yes, DD makes good AR rifles. For a long time it was the "go to" when friends asked about buying AR for whatever reason if they were willing to go over $1k for a rifle. I've used DD lower parts kits in a few lowers as well.
