You do realize it takes more fossil fuel to create an EV than it does to drive 150k miles and create a gas vehicle. You do realize all those disposed lead acid and lithium batteries are going to destroy the environment. You do realize China has dominant control over the battery and solar and wind markets which indebts us to China if we want to drive anywhere in an EV we will enrich them.

Basically to manufacture a 24 kWh Lithium ion battery requires 88.9 GigaJoules, so the cost per KWh comes down to just over 1,000 kWh As the typical lifetime of a lithium-ion battery is between 300 and 500 cycles, it looks as if these things are costing two or three times more energy to make than ever passes through them!
