Daniel Defense DD5v1 re barrel ?

Would like to change from a 16” 7.62 to a 20” or 22” 7mm-08, looking for suggestions.

Are you looking for recommendations on a barrel manufacturer, or someone to do the work, or whether or not you should do it, or……..?

I can’t seem to find a ready made barrel, wondering if I will have to buy a 7mm blank and have it machined, reamed, cut and crowded...

Can't unless you can the barrel you want from DD. It's all proprietary.

It's not, either.

To elaborate more: the DD large frame series the upper/barrel/handguard interface is all proprietary in the fact that the barrel squishes between the upper and the handguard and it all bolts together with 4 bolts and a flange.
