Hmm. . .

They pretty well sell out of all their 75 compact variations, but they're made overseas. I don't own a CZ that wasn't made in the Czech Republic. Discontinuing the 527 was probably their most inexplicable move.

Not saying it's not true, but on the other hand, I haven't seen it confirmed either.

Even if partly true, it's somewhat damning. Putting the guys from Colt in charge of anything more demanding than a piss-up in a brewery is a rookie mistake.

Surprisingly, I might convince myself later to type up more detailed opinions on this and why I think there could be more than a grain of truth in it.

Not sure I'm going to take a screen cap of some random phone text as proof here. I couldn't find anything else out there to support this at all.

Could be a disgruntled former employee who was just 'let go', but some of the observations made in that deleted thread I posted a couply of entries ago address other recent (and more public) knowledge about CZ-USA.

We're not even in "trust but verify" territory, but I'm not sure we can discount some of the information in that thread.

Apparently their new facility in Arkansas is dead in the water. That's too bad.
