100 years ago the only professional sport of any note was baseball. It was NOT shut down during the Spanish Flu Pandemic which was much more severe than the current Chinese Flu. Remember the White Sox scandal of 1919? Shoeless Joe and the rest....it all happened when the Flu was going.

Baseball attendance "sagged" a bit in 1918, but WWI was going on too, and attendance waned a bit during WWII as well.

Would be interesting to see if college sports were "shut down" during the Spanish Flu.

People were a tougher breed of human back.. not a bunch of sheeple that will believe anything the news tv tells them.. people were smarte back then and even had common sense..
