common powder for use in .338LM and .308Win. ?

Hello,

What is your prefered common powder you use for both .338 Lapua Mag and .308 Winchester ?

If it matters, I will also be trying to produce a common .308 load for Remington PSS bolt, Seekins SP10 AR10, and Springfield Super Nat. Match M1A guns.
I don't know how doable this last part will be...

Varget, 8208 XBR and H4895 for 308. Kf you're doing a common load do the workup primarily in the gas guns.

Retumbo, H1000 or RL33 for the .338 Lapua

Vihtavouri N150 for 308. I have no experience with 338 LM.

There is not going to be a good powder for both. I like Varget for 556, 762 and Retumbo for 338LM.

Winchester 760, Hodgdon H414

will work in both, but is not ideal in the 338. The lighter bullets in the 338 will give the best results with a common powder.

imr 4895, h 4895, precision rifle will work.
