Colt M1911 help

Sounds great could we meet today or tomorrow?

She’s a USGI colt m-1911 frame and slide, made in 1918. Looks all original, maybe a bring back from the war? Price will vary greatly based on the internal parts, the barrel, and if you have any papers from the war from where it was brought back. Value will range from 1,200 to 4,500. Shes a fine specimen and there is a strong market for the old Colts and the individual pieces/parts. I’d be happy to take a closer look at her for you if you like.

Somebody will chime in that knows about them. I was always into the more modern guns...so I just don’t have much to offer...type in “date my Colt” on your search bar, you’ll find a serial number look up link...put in your serial number, and viola...it’s cool to see that Colt put that serial number on multiple types of their guns...through various years...
Thanks

Don’t store it in a holster. Oil wrap rag. Called a black Army due to lack of factory buffing.
I have owned 5. Still have one.
The barrel is a big determinator of value. If original and not frosted up - adds $. Also having the correct mag is good.
