Color Fill a Polymer Lower

I want to crayon color fill my polymer AR lower. The fire and safe words and also the caliber and what not. Wondering if I can use a hair dryer instead of a lighter (like with a metal lower) to heat up the polymer and then fill the letters with the crayon and then wipe away excess with a playing card and newspaper. Just wondering mainly if the polymer can keep the crayon in its recesses like a metal lower can.

Yes, it will work. You don't even need to use heat

Just rub on and use the card to remove excess? What's the easiest way to remove it if I don't like it? Hair dryer and cloth?

This is my cheap AR... the one I learned how to build on... so if something screwed up I wouldn't be too upset.... with hat being said I still don't want anything to happen to it.

Just rub on, wipe down with hoppes soaked rag after.
