Chickens/rooster

Weasel usually jus bite throat and don't make much of a mess. Chances are she had lil blood on her and rest of em went to town. Happens all the time. A chicken will literally pick at anything...especially another chicken.

Dead as a door nail

In the backyard barnyard system, Bantam based offenses are considered especially heinous. In the pen of mudking2008 mudking2008 ,
the dedicated cock searchers who investigate these vicious pluckings are members of an elite squad known as the Special Cocks Unit.

These are their stories.

Hence the term "pecking order". That is what chickens do, they pick on the little ones, adding the rooster messed up their pecking order somehow. Sit them down and explain how they are all in the same flock, and are all the same species. Seriously though, if one shows any weakness, the others will kill it. A self preservation thing to weed out diesease, etc. I have even had one get injured and the others hop right on it. Shot a turkey once, and the gobbler right next to it hopped on it and finished it off rather than ran away.
