On another forum, we beat this topic till it was dead as the snake in the pic. Finally got a 1st person account that the snake came from screven county Ga. Grown snake, but obviously the pic is not representative of its actual size due to being held much closer to the camera.

We have a thriving population of diamondbacks here. I've only seen and measured 2 over 6 foot in length. The largest of the two was 6' 4" after I took his head off with a shotgun. Honorable mention goes to a 5' 11" diamondback I was within striking distance of back inch fall of 2011.

Dealing with snakes is merely a way of life here........
