Check or Money Order for the $200 to the BATF?

some people I've spoken with have raised the point that if you're transfering it to a trust and you pay for it with a personal check, the ATF may have issues with that way of doing it sometime down the road (I.E. an individual is paying for a transfer to a trust...) so the individual chooses the money order and makes sure it says the name of the trust on the money order in the from section on it.

I don't know if that thought process holds water...

What do you all think?

If the name on the check is the same as one of the Trustees I don't see where it would be an issue.

Agreed. In my observations, the ATF does not care as long as they get their money.
