Carbide Drill Bits-Where local?

Try cobalt drill bits with lots of oil. (not the brand but made of this material) I think you will find they cut faster and last longer as long as you don't over heat them.

Sears carries solid carbide drill bits.

I own WoodshedTools.com and can get your bits for you, but they aren't listed on my website, and I have to order them from a manufacturer.

PM me the sizes and quantities you are looking for, and i can get some bulk pricing for you if you need them ongoing.

MSC is the ticket locally

mail order I like McMaster

ordered a ton from both. Both are quality companies

get a free MSC catalog and you be busy for days

don't rule out good quality cobalt bits verses the Carbide( they tend to be brittle)

You may also try some of the tool distributors for auto tools, MATCO, MAC, SNAP-ON. . They going to be high, but the tools are top notch. Are you having a problem drilling anything particular, or just want a good quality set? I AM NOT questioning your knowledge by any means, but you may want to look at what your drilling. See if the carbide is the best bit. Also speed and pressure make a diff too. Just friendly FYI. :)
