Got my DL in August 1970, couple months after I graduated from COLLEGE. My folks NEVER had a car. My best friend took me down to the DMV in an old Buick or Olds they had. Was a 15 mile drive to the county seat town, I drove there and completed my first pass with a vehicle on a rural 2 lane road on the way. Few weeks later got a job and my first car....a 1970 VW Kahrmann Ghia coupe in BRG. $2800, out the door.

1980 Cutlass Supreme. My dad bought it for my birthday. Still had a world's greatest grandma tag on it. He was gonna buy me a Ford galaxy but thought I wouldn't like it. Man I wished he'd have gotten the galaxy.
