My.buddy's lodge sells butts about 2 times a year. I always buy one or two and put them in the freezer. When we need some tasty Q with no fuss I thaw one and put it in a slow cooker. It is always hit and YES, I take all the credit!!!

Doing one tonight. We put Ms. Griffins BBQ sauce in the pot with it while it cooks.

I dry season my pork shoulder and wrap it tight in foil. Usually let it sit overnight in the fridge. Then when it's time to go in the pot, I leave it wrapped. Keeps all your seasoning where it should be.
