Howdy fellow gear heads... does anybody have a line on someone or some place that can bore out my dr350 head to accommodate a larger piston?
I have not decided if I am going the big bore route yet, but want to line up my person or shop in the event I do.
Factory is a 79 mm piston. so long as the jug is not too chewed up, I may be able to get away a good hone, slap on a new set of rings and give the valves a once over.
Otherwise, option 2 is to bore it out slightly to fit an 83mm piston in a 385cc kit or option 3 is to go all out with a 440cc kit. That later would require a sleeve install and bore to 89mm cylinder.
Regardless, I am having the valve seats cleaned up and cut if necessary.
