Also a little advice, always keep a spare cork around just in case you have a cork/cap separation... I know I’ve had at least 3 corks break, little corkscrew and replacement on hand is nice

To keep the corks soft and pliable, they must be soaked occasionally…

If you can find a very old Barton you 100 proof it’s really good! I’ve never seen it sold here in Georgia

Dollar for dollar, my new go to is Very old Barton. Comes out of Buffalo Trace. My retailer bought a couple barrels last year from BT and met one of the higher up distillers that told him about it being the Pappy recipe without the age. Give it a go. Super tasty on a budget.
 
I was lucky enough to snag one bottle before the entire barrel was sold out within a few hours of release yesterday...
