I’ve gotten pass thrus on deer with a 45# recurve bow. That crossbow will work.
Keep a heavy FOC with a substantial overall arrow/point weight and you’ll be fine at close range. A good cut on contact, fixed blade head will improve penetration as well.
Put these in place of the factory aluminum inserts and increase the FOC and overall arrow weight. Mass has a greater influence on kinetic energy than velocity does.
I used 100 gr inserts coupled with 125gr broadheads on my 45# recurve.
