barfife, who did the engraving on that Smith? WOW!

It is factory engraved model 66-2. Don't recall the master engraver's name (it is under the grips) but think he died in 1982 or 83. It is hand engraved and not by gravermiester machine. I paid $800 in May 1980 when my daughter was born. Have no idea the current value. If I had bought stocks instead, I'd probably have $8,000 by now. But it is a work of art.

No, not for sale. Barfife, I am not sure if the stocks would be worth as much as that revolver, now. But you are right, that is a beautiful engraving job, a real work of art. That ole Smith is not too bad either. Just love the way those grips look. Really nice my friend.
