I'm working on a very old Belgian revolver. I just finished slow rust bluing it and I'm going to coat it with boiled linseed oil. I have used linseed oil on guns before but it just takes so long to dry and I don't really want to put a fan on it because I have pets and a fan would just kick up all their fur and ruin the finish. I was wondering if I could put it in my oven to speed up the process. Will there be any problems with fumes or possible fire hazards?

DO NOT do this. Linseed oil is very susceptible to spontaneous combustion when exposed to any significant heat. It can actually ignite just by self-heating if you leave a rag soaked in the stuff wadded up, I am sure it would be even more likely to ignite in an oven.
