Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a "flat top" and "slick top" carbine? I'm getting ready to place an order for a DDM4v4 and cant figure out the difference. Thanks!

I have NEVER heard of a slick top. I've heard 'slick-side', which refers to an upper with no forward assist or brass bump. I've seen these in A1 / A2 configuration, as well as flat tops.

they call it a slick top because of the forward rail connected to the rail on the upper receiver. Really helps if you plan to put x3 optics in front of an eotech or aimpoint. It has the low profile gas block as well. Nice DD that one is.

Cool, thanks! I actually am planning on putting the 3x magnifier in front of my eotech. I appreciate it.

It will look great on that rifle. Many handguards sit above the rail on the upper receiver. this one is nice a flush like it should be. Will make your set up a lot more easy to mount. Should look really nice!
