AR Gas Key Staked?

Does anyone know how to stake a gas key on the bolt carrier? Or does someone have the correct tools that can do it for me for a small fee? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Search youtube. It's not hard to stake a key with the right tool.

Thanks CCW...I saw that but didnt want to spend $50 on a tool I will only use once.

Smack the gas key with a hammer and chisel. All you are doing is pushing a little bit of material from the key against the head of the screw. The screw is knurreled and with the material from the key pushed against it will keep it from turning. That is all that the staking does, it's not some high speed bull****.

Cool, thanks...I will give that a shot then. I kind of figured that is all I had to do but I kept reading to properly stake it you needed this fancy tool

Yeah you need fancy tools to do a lot of stuff, staking a gas key or castle nut is not one of them.

Put it in a vice and use a good steel punch. You'll be good to go.
