I am trying to change out the block and sight tower and replace it with a railed block. However, I cant get the mother flippin pins out. Anybody around the Winder or Gainesville area that would be willing to let me borrow a front sight bench block?

Any tips for driving these satanic little suckers out?

They go out one way only.

Sorry, that was a bit simplistic. Blocks help, but I would use a press.

Make sure your punching them the correct direction. The pin is larger on one side than the other so punch from the smaller side. I use a small trim nail and tap with hammer. Hope this helps.

Pretty sure I am going in the right direction. Won't say 100% though! It is a S&W.

I like the idea of a press. Unfortunately, I ain't got one!

Some just won't come out. Period. Not without some extraordinary measures.

I think they press some of them in with a 40 ton hydro press (or some other such monstrosity).
