Anyone running a DC solar powered freezer?

Was looking into this and looks like a pretty good idea given we still have sunlight after a nuclear winter…..but hey it’s nice to roll the dice.
I’m thinking of doing a hillside root cellar once I get my tractor and if the world still exists then building a solar array on top of it to run a dc chest freezer and a light.
Of course will have a good lockable door .
Also doing the same thing for reserve fuel storage in another location further from the house.

A lot of those car/ truck camping guys have those . Can’t remember the name or brand . They seem to work fine .

Yeah I’m looking at something larger of course and actually with the proper carpentry skills and insulation you could also build a larger walk in type that will be very efficient on solar to boot.

You can always do a stationary bike with an alternator to charge the batteries in a pinch.
