Anyone besides me doing Appleseed this weekend?

According to some internet reports, the screws holding the scope rail down sometimes protrude into the chamber causing the bolt not to close fully, which is what I was experiencing. If that's the case, installing the scope is what caused the problem. Apparently the screws must be filed down if this happens.

If it's that simple I don't know if I'll be mad I blew qualifying or happy it's an easy fix.

What a bummer. I was getting progressively better and wanted to build on a 157 AQT.

Don't let an equipment failure get you down. It happens to everyone. That's half the reason you go to events like this, to find the weaknesses in your gear BEFORE you need it for real.

The other half, of course, is finding weaknesses in your technique for the same reason. Just be sure to address all weaknesses as you discover them. You'll have that patch in no time.
