Any tricks on removing a locked gas cap?

Anyone know any tricks or tips to remove one of these rascals without the key? It’s plastic and I’m sure I can mongo this thing off with a big pair of channel locks, but I’d rather not chance a bunch of plastic pieces in the almost empty gas tank.

Cant see how big the keyhole ia but you can try a bump key

Drive a screwdriver into the lock and twist the cap off.
Had to do this on an older F150 that we purchased that did not have a key.
If the interior and outside cap separates, then you can twist the inner cap off with your hand.

Found out the fuel pump in the rear tank was bad and the previous owner probably locked the rear tank instead of fixing it.
