Have you dropped the pan? The filter may be stopping up with debris.
I owned the 4L60E transmission in a suburban for almost 20 years. I had to have the transmission rebuilt every 4-5 years. If you don’t take steps to keep it cool with Oversize high capacity pans, aftermarket transmission coolers mounted in front of the radiator, installing a dummy light, such as a NO (Normally Open) temperature switch which closes when the temperature reaches 220 degrees. Heat kills transmissions.

Pump is probably shot. Not uncommon for 4L60 to move cold and slip once warm, normally a bad pump
I would rebuild with the upgraded parts, shift kit and a good transmission cooler.
GM not known for getting 300k out of transmission well at least after the 1990. Some them older 3 speed auto's in the 80's would just go go go go.
