There is a lot of dislike with Anderson recievers. They are made of the same alloy all the rest of them are. As long as they Are in spec they will make a gun that will last. Hell most of my builds are 1200 plus and I have one truck gun with an Anderson lower. Been shooting it for years without a hickup. The barrel, Bolt carrier group and trigger are the heart of the gun. Don't skimp there and you will have and find shooting gun. Now if you intend to put together a gun with the cheapest parts you can find don't want your time. Buy a Rugger AR556 for 700 and change. You will end up with that much money in now with today's prices. Remember it's your gun and you are the only one that needs to like it. Good luck with your build.
