Why not? It will probably cycle reliably even when filthy. 5.45 is the more naturally choice for a light intermediate chambering though.

Could you imagine for just a fleeting moment, these willow-wisps of men wrinkling there tiny-bell bottomed blazers under the herculean recoil of the 7.62x39? It would blow there skinny jeaned bird legs right out of there brown slip-ons (which were made, of course, from recycled material).
