Nice young family relocating to the Marietta area to get a fresh start on life. We are looking for about an acre of undeveloped/partially developed land to build a small home on. Family is simplifying and downsizing to get debt under control and help dad go back to school to become a doctor (Life University). Also interested in subletting a portion of a larger property from a landowner in some "win-win" exchange. Family is from Colorado/Idaho and experienced with homesteading.

Sounds like what you are looking for is an old fashioned Land Use Deed. Land is yours but subject to any prior leans of the current land owner.

You are way far away. If you were looking further outside the city you would find many of us that are Land Poor and could spare an acre or 3 for this type of arrangement.

Doubt you'll find anything like this in Marietta. You need to go farther north.

I’m not sure there is any wooded land left in Marietta. I think they have ruined it all
