AMMOLOAD 9mm brass

I haven't seen a post about this here so I thought I would give you a heads up...

I came across some brass labeled "AMMOLOAD 9mm" which looked a little odd. On closer examination, it appears to have a thicker base internally and a thicker case wall toward the base. The brass is heavier than normal and looks like it will hold less powder. If you find one of these, load with caution as pressures might increase.

Ammo Load is a company that makes automated reloading machines for people that reload for a living (I would love to have one but at $30K each, they are a little out of my price range). Speculation is that they made some brass for testing but it seems to be popping up all over the country.

It certainly prevent bullet setback with that ledge in the case.

That wall thickness is crazy!! They really must be intended for high-speed machines!

I'll have to compare to some of mine later today, but that flash hole looks huge compared to the primer pocket.
