It looks good. I'm not familiar with the gun you mentioned. I guess I'll google image it. I want to do a similar type deal on a Type53 since I can't afford an M 44. Plus, it's no big loss to Bubba a T53. I'd keep the stock if it aint beat to hell. I just want the bent bolt and the bayonet mount ground off.
What type of scope is that you used? I've looked online at a good bit of vintage style European and Soviet scopes. But I really don't know what I'm looking at.
 
The base rifle is a Finn m39 in '54r. The glass is a "PE" 4x with variable focus....originally made in russia but there are some german (zeis) models. Similar to the scope you would find in the 1930's and erly 40's on a mosin nagant but that was called a "PEM" sniper and was 3.5x and mounted on the side instead of the top.

In my opinion, i'd grab a PE replica if i were you.....they have variable focus, and the reticule stays centered in your feld of view when you adjust it
