9/24 Front Yard Buck... and comparison to him last season

So this guy came through this morning (Central Texas), and was sniffing around where the does have been. Last two pictures are him December 27 2020, you can see he'd done some fighting. His left eye is still injured it looks like. He's a brute this year.

I was with a customer early this week who has a huge ranch.

he showed me photos of a buck that they had tranquilizer and transported to a high fence area last year.
They have fed heavy protein for a year , the difference was astounding. It’s amazing how nutrition and a lack of stress can do wonders.

So here's the real surprise-- I dug back through my pictures. This guy was a scrawny yearling last July. Check out this picture from July 5 2020... he went from this skinny nerd to that big guy in December, to this Hulk today. Wow. Look at the coloration around his mouth. Same deer.

Aw shucks. You're right. There's also a bit of white on the young ones' nose that's not on the new pics.

That guy's gotta be around here somewhere; maybe I can find him.
