I like dividend stocks, especially for tax deferred/tax free accounts, but don't like investing in individual stocks as I don't have time nor desire to stay on top of them. Plus, if you or your spouse work for financial institutions, trades have to be pre-approved. I have several dividend funds and ETFs like VDIGX and IDV.
