6.5mm Loads

I loaded 1300 rounds of 9mm

15-140gr A-MAX
25-140 berger vld's
And.............. A bunch of toys and clothes up tha kids don't play/wear no more!!!!!!

What is ur max oal on the 142's? I'm touching the lands at 2.845. There is no chance of running 43gr of h-4350 in my gun.

My MAX OAL with 140 Hybrids is 2.955" with the Hornady comparator

2.902" with 142 Accubonds.

I was hoping for a COAL of 2.880" with 0.010" to 0.017" off the lands....

We tried 42 grains of H4350 today and there was plenty of room for more, but there wasn't much velocity increase, < 10, from 41.5.

I'll try 43 Red.

load the hybrids at that length and descending depths then and see what happens if you want them to feed from the mag. I watched my 300 yard groups shrink as the bullets jumped more.

Someone that has Quickload,

Please run the numbers for:
.260 Remington
1 fired Nosler .260 Rem Brass
H4350 to max Load
140 Berger Hybrids
142 Nosler Accubond LR

Barrel is a 26" 1:8 Hawk Hill 4 groove.

COAL is 2.880" at this time.
I'm thinking of adjusting.

Thank You,
Heath

You guys may not want to know my load for the 6.5 creedmore and certainly please don't try to duplicate it without working up and checking pressure signs along the way.

Running a 24" Brux barrel with 1:8 twist

142gr. Sierra BTHP
46.0 Grains of H4350
COAL of 2.882

10 shot average velocity was 3060

I have since backed it down to 45.4 Grains everything else stayed the same but the velocity dropped about 100fps. It runs around 2960 now.

Working on a new 140gr load now.

I am running a Brux 24 inch and 26 inch in 6.5 creedmore and both guns shoot the same load at 41.7 and that load is good from 100 to 800 yds.Don't know why you would be shooting such a heavy powder charge.

The factory 140gr Hornady loads I tested were running 2760 and my gun with 41.7 and 42 was still 100fps slower than that so I bumped it up.

I also have been shooting well beyond 800 yards so I like the speed. Thing is like a laser.

By the looks of the brass and the primers it will handle more but at almost 3000fps I am good with it.

Not to mention I'm only 7.51 MILs to 1000.
