It's a waste of velocity, loud when suppressed, and anymore than 5" shorter and you have a 22magnum for a projectile.

Get a real sbr caliber like 6.8, 300blk, or x39.

If you cry "but....but...but laxguy 556 is cheap, waaaa, help me I'm poor" then go make a pistol caliber carbine that actually uses expanding ammo in short barrels and can be quiet with a suppressor.

Enjoy your total lack of range, unburnt powder, completely intact projectiles, and obnoxious noise.

I never did get the 10" barrels on ARs. ..seems counter productive. The only thing that makes the 5.56 viable is its velocity...chopping barrels down to penis lengths certainly doesn't help that.
