I spoke with the sheriff's dept. and the Game warden last year. According to them you can shoot a gun as long as you are in the county (not the city limits). The law according to them is that you just cannot hunt deer with a firearm. You do have to be the proper distance away from other dwellings and cannot shoot across adjacent property.
