5.56 AK magazine

Hey ODT.

Need a little bit of help with figuring out what ak magazines will fit in an SLR-106u.

I've tried the new Zastava polymer 556 mags. No go.

I've tried the Yugoslavian metal 556 mags.
No go.

I've tried the German weiger 556 mags.
No go.

I just need to try a few out to see what will fit.
Hopefully a Bulgarian Circle 10 would fit and hopefully AC unity mags will fit.

If you got a few that I can try in the Marietta area please let me know.

Well it's a Bulgarian gun... Not sure why the Weiger wouldn't fit, I've used those and circle 10s in the same guns.

As far as I know, there's 3 patterns - Chinese, Yugo, and everything else...

Circle 10 will work.

There is no standard pattern for 5.56 magazine. All countries have their own. Norinco and Polytech are even different. The closest one would be a Russian. I would not modify any magazine and instead get some Circle Tens. They are three different types of these- early clear smoke, middle and late black poly with stripper clip differences.

Circle 10, pufgun, and ac unity all work in my 106fr. I hear wbp will also

All I run is Bulgarian (10)s in mine.

Thanks everybody. I just really want to test to see what will actually fit in this thing. I recently picked up a 106u unfortunately there's a couple funky things about it that was not advertised.

May go back to the seller and see if I can either return it or recoup some of my expense

5.56X45 magazines - what works in what?

What magazines work in what rifles? I have heard that the Chinese magazines are unique to Chinese AK rifles, but will Polish Beryl, East German Wenger, and Bulgarian circle 10 mags interchange?
