45/70 Gov 1895 marlin

Ok need some knowledge from you peeps, just got the components to reload my marlin 1895GS. I only have 300 gr Hornady interlock HP CCI 200 primers, my gun really likes the 300 gr pills. I have imr4198 and imr4064,imr3031 imr4198, varget just wondering what has worked for y'all. So far only used the 4198 with decent results. Thanks for any information. This will be used for whitetail deer.

All of those should serve you well. I use RL7 with 405 grain PC'd boolits. I considered H4198, but since RL7 worked so well, I stopped there. Never loaded any of those light weight bullets.

Either 4198 or the 3031 will work fine for the 300 gr bullets.. all we.uaed for our 1895s
