I had a guy who owns a vintage theatre and coffee shop hire me to build a studio scale Star Destroyer. His coffee shop is heavily decorated with movie props and replicas.

At 42 inches, this is a few inches larger than the model they used to film the first Star Wars movie. I've been working on it for three months.

It's a Randy Cooper model kit. It's the largest kit you can buy of one of these. It came in a box full of resin parts. I wasn't very happy with the quality. Most parts were warped and had lots of bubbles from casting. But I made a nice model from it anyway. If you're familiar with model kits and their skill ratings this would be off the charts. I wouldn't recommend this kit to anyone that wasn't a pro at scratch building models.

It has around 1700 feet of fiber optic lines in it. It weighs 25 lbs. The lines used to hang it are 80lb braided fishing line. The Millenium Falcon and the Tantive IV are held in place with magnets so they can be removed.
