410 Shotgun

I am looking for a low end 410 single shot shotgun to make a truck gun out of.
Savage, Stevens, H&R, or anything else. Just send me a PM.
It don't have to be pretty just have a clean bore.

I looked for a double barrel .410 for a while. I ended up by a new Stoeger Uplander .410. It is a nice little shotgun and very affordable.

somebody here was selling a magazine-fed repeater bolt action shotgun .410 caliber for a reasonable price like 140 bucks or something.
Check the classified ads. I used to own a single shot bolt action 410 and while it was acceptable, I would've much preferred that it had a magazine to be a repeater.

for me it was also a truck gun, and a hiking and camping companion, and a "training new shooters and kids" gun.
I bobbed the barrel to 18.1 inches, cut down the stock to give a 12 inch length of pull (about the size of a Red Ryder Daisy BB gun) and it was a handy-dandy little thing.

It takes a very brave man to carry a single shot 410 for self defense, imo.

Thanks Plinker but its just a little lite weight, road/hit but not killed and needs to be finished plus a snake killer.
even at that I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it, 410 sure does at a close range, pack a big punch.

Think about a 12 gauge and some Aguila mini-shells. That way you could also keep some full power loads on hand just in case. Probably be easier to find and cheaper, too in 12.
