You know there's a giant-sized gummie bear that I've seen used instead of ballistics jell, seems to work fine AND is self-healing.

They are available in standard quantity at Walmart or just about any grocery store. Each week we let our kids rotate who gets to choose which gummies. There are as many different gummies as their are bandaids.
