2016 Kentucky Elk Hunt Story

Congratulations on that. I've always wanted to go elk hunting. I didn't know they had them in Kentucky. my dream hunt is an elk hunt, Kentucky is alot closer than Wyoming, which is where I've looked into going.

Congrats, brother. I knew you were ready after stacking three at 600 yards darn near on top each other. I laughed for hours when you got back and told me your shot was 35 yards. LOL. Well done. I'm jealous. Putting in for tags myself. Next time you and Matt go, I want in for sure. Would be a fabulous time even just helping hike out some meat.

Cool story and thanks for sharing! I'm definitely going to look into this. Bagging an elk is very high on the bucket list and this sounds like an affordable way to get there from here in comparison so lots of the guided deals.

Saw this big boy on the side of the ridge just outside of Cherokee, NC yesterday. I have seen a lot of small bulls and cows but not one like this. Won't be long before they are wondering around north GA!
