$10 Bobtail and Compact 1911 Grips @ CZ-USA

CZ-USA website is selling a bunch of bobtail and compact 1911 grips that are "smoke damaged" for $10. Last I checked they still had several hundred in stock. Judging from the website, the only damage I think is that they smell like smoke. The compact(officer frame) grips and one style of bobtail grips are the Dan Wesson "Shadow" grips that come on the CCO and the Guardian and have the DW logo, the other bobtail grips are just a plain double diamond checker pattern with no logo.

ETA: The bobtail "Shadow" grips are slim grips and require slim grip bushings and screws. They will not fit properly with standard grip bushings and screws.

Hmmm wonder if the slim grips would fit Para double stack frames. I think they take a slim grip.

Got two sets. They were beautiful. Yes, they smelled like a camp fire. But still perfect. Happy!

I got 2 bobtail and one compact set. I really couldn't tell they smelled like smoke at all and they look perfectly fine.

Doesn't get much more manly than the smell of campfire and gunpowder.

Bought two sets that arrived today. Mine show no signs of damage and have no scent of smoke. All I need now is a set of thin grip bushings.
