Right now... The 300 blk is running the H2 buffer and the .223 is using a non marked buffer.
The cut down barrel is .223. The bottom rifle in the pic above.
Well... Yesterday I took the buffer, buffer spring and bcg out of the 300blkout and put them in the .223 and it worked fine. Just for shots and giggles I put the bcg and buffer from the .223 into the 300 and it worked fine. I don't know why that would resolve the issues but it did.
I first...
The BCG on this rifle I bought from another member here. The upper was too tight on the other rifle for me to change out the BCG. I didnt bring any tools with me to the range. Next time I will bring some tools and swap some things out.
Usually on other bolt you can just grip the bcg and kinda sling the bolt out. On this one you can't. And after some shots it looked like the bcg didn't close all the way.
The barrel was cut down and it is a full length gas system. I really hope that's not the problem.
Im trying to figure...
Newly built AR .223, had the barrel cut and welded a pig on it so full length is 16". Has a nickle BCG. Everyone says dont oil/lube the nickel BCG so I didnt. BUT when first shooting it, the casing would not eject after firing, nor would the next round try to feed (if next round fed it would...
That's what I did the first time... And I think that's my problem
UPDATE**
I turned the bolt around to see if it would slide in backwards and it goes in perfectly fine. It looks like its hanging up in the upper part of the upper where the gas tube is. When I put it in backwards the bolt slide...
I put it up and down in the vice with rubber and a few shop towels around it. The vice was on each side of the upper where the front of the mag would slide in.
I was trying to do the work without the correct tools and I screwed up my upper. I put it in a vice a little too tight now the bolt will not slide thru. Any way for me to fix this? Gun smith says it will be 2 weeks. I really wanted to go hunting this weekend. Is the upper trashed now?
I got a Bodyguard 380 for the wife this week and she is so use to shooting her glock that she didnt really like the trigger pull on the bodyguard. Is it possible to lighten up the pull on it? If so... how?
