In the past I've taken the next size up torx bit and tapped into an allen head that was stripped. If you bottom it out and go slow and steady they come out.
I deal with quite a few suicide weapons at work. Some you can't even tell, and some have blood, brain and hair stuck to them. The fluids will etch and eat finishes off firearms for sure. I am cautious when touching them at all times.
Mine came today. Super neat! I got some GP amber grease and filled it up with a paint stir stick. Works great. My tube of Tetra is 25 years old and I got it at Cooks Gunshop In Biloxi when I was in battalion. It's almost gone.
Ordered one. My Tetra gun grease tube is about gone. I've had it since 99. Not sure what I'll fill the little gun up with, look forward to getting it however.
I have Rig grease at home, but I find it leaks and oozes when I shoot guns greased with it. Tetra doesn't "migrate" like that. It stays put.
Keep your torque on the mag cap only, don't leverage anything with the barrel.
I was looking for an example on my phone of one that came into work. Can't find it. The ones I've seen broken have been from shooting the gun with mag cap loose, over torquing the mag cap or extension tube with pipe...
Be mindful of torquing the barrel assembly around in the receiver. The ejector plate has a little nose on it that can and does break off. Then you'll have to fix that too (I've fixed one. Not terribly hard, but requires 2 special tools and parts that may or may not be available). The barrel has...
