Since the person most capable of answering this isn’t being given the correct information to diagnose the problem, I’ll take a shot at it.

I bought this 1931 manufactured Winchester 1897 all messed up. A combination of improper reassembly and worn parts had it in a sad state. As of right now, it’s still not functioning 100% but I have some parts on the way to hopefully get her back...
I found that the bezel of the light occasionally twisted itself into the off position. I periodically tape it into the right position until the tape gets blown off, rinse, repeat.
I could be wrong, but it seems like the only thing this part is aimed at curing is upper receiver wear, not cam pin wear.
I’ve never heard of someone’s upper receiver wearing from normal function to the point it becomes a problem.
I put 3 or 4 speed cuts in line with my gas port so they’re hidden under the gas block. That way no one can see I have weak spaghetti arms. I don’t shoot my guns so I’ve got nothing to worry about.
