Anyone practice their crossbow from their tree stand?
I usually practice from my deck or the roof of my out building. -
Accidents can happen with bows (warning: graphic hand damage)
I wonder if he had to buy the bow before going to the ER. -
10 year old son splits arrow
He and I both were excited, He's grouping them on a pie plate at 20 yards. I'm hoping he'll be at 45 pounds by deer season, so he can bow hunt with it. -

I got my son a Bear Apprentice 2 bow for Christmas. Nice bow 15-27 adjustable draw and 20-60 pull. Anyway, after a few days of shooting 22 inch and 35 pounds at 15 yards he split his first arrow. I was 35 when I done my first Robin Hood. -
So I took a look at the Matthews 2011 catalogue today...
I have never seen to many snipers up on a roof with a bow. But who knows, times are changing. -
Post your (in tree stand) shooting tips for crossbow.
I had the kids crossbow sighted in with field tips ( 125 ). Switched to broadheads ( same weight )just before opening day and he was 12 inches high and 12 inches to the right. It was a good thing the target was big enough to allow for this kind of miss. Like said before get up on the roof... -

Cross bows
Kids use a Horton 175 as well. Very straight and true bow out to 50 yards. -
