I ain't gotta clue what's wrong with it.
I do know it shouldn't take a dozen grown ass country bumkins like us to figure out how to use a dang spinning reel.

I've been a Lowrance fan a pretty long time and have 2 on my boat.
I'm sure you can get a bad one every now and again but I've never had any trouble outa mine, guess I'm lucky
I usually give most or all my fish away at the boat ramp. Might keep a few crappie to eat but thats about it.
Then my father in law will come visit us and bring us bags of frozen catfish and filets.
Can't tell him no or he'll leave em in the seat of the truck and call you a hour later to tell...
I've actually "hung" a couple big tarpon fishing off the old bridge in the last few years. No way to get them in but had a blast for a few minutes. Caught a big drum off the bridge last year I'm guessing in the 40-50 lb range. Always have a great time down there.
