Wow, there's nothing in that video whatsoever that doesn't look fun! What a great day and some huge fish....from a creek nonetheless - lol
  2. Any night crawler / red wriggler farmers on the ODT?

+1 on the catalpa tree. Great catfish bait.
  3. Pond fishing. What is your approach?

In the ponds I'm used to fishing, crickets catch 20 times more bluegill and various pan fish than worms. I agree about the hotdogs.....but don't like telling my secrets. Never heard of using bacon but it's really the same salty brine that brings um to hotdogs. If your ever fishing in a pond...
  4. Fishing Clubs or Private Ponds Memberships

Indian Springs State Park is only about an hour from you. My cousin used to take his son when he was younger there a couple times a year. They have caught a lot of fish out of the lake. Invest in a used john boat or something similar though. The banks are not as productive. Best of luck to you...
  5. The bass are hitting top water

    Awesome memories there!
  6. Tent Camping Along The Gulf Coast

Lot's of good water around P'cola. You all should have a great time.

Sound advice here. Also in the area in Gulf Shores is Gulf State Park.
  8. Kids fishing set up?

I caught many, many, many a bass, bluegill/brem growing up with a Zebco 202. By the time I retired it at 20 the bearings where so worn the reel would "chime" when turned. The rod fell apart but that old reel is on a shelf in a place of honor. As others are saying, a 33 is a great choice at this...
  9. Any of you guys ever go deep sea fishing out of the PCB area?

My Goodness that looks good. Snapper is some very fine table fare.
  10. Video: PCB 2 day charter & 874lbs of fish!

Those were some huge amberjacks! Great catch. That beat my best catch on a charter by about 200 lbs.
  11. Florida Red Snapper Opener with Jacks and Scamps Too!

That's some good size snappers. Just about my favorite fish to eat!
