    I want to say that when they paved it, the phenomenon stopped. I only went once after paving. Gee, Forsyth/Dawsonville/Cumming sure was a different place back then, but then so was G-ville.

    I remember my mom yelling off the back porch "Time to eat!". We'd be a mile away and I'd tell me friends to be quiet. We'd all listen for a second calling, "Hey man, I gotta go. See you tomorrow!" Boom, full speed back to the house.

    And nobody cared if you used their yard as a short cut to get to where you were headed, AND you knew better than to mess with any of their stuff. It was just an understanding that you were passing through.
